Points System
The points system is the core of StreamForge. It tracks viewer engagement by awarding points for actions on your channel, giving you a clear picture of your most active community members.
How It Works
StreamForge awards points when tracked interactions occur on your channel. You control the scoring rules from Engagement → Point Rules.
Points accumulate over time and are used to:
- Rank viewers on your leaderboard
- Trigger automatic VIP rewards
- Contribute to event goals (subathons, milestones)
All Tracked Metrics
StreamForge tracks both score-driving metrics and supporting analytics metrics. Depending on your tier and setup, you may see:
- Chat messages
- Watch time (live)
- Offline watch time
- Bits cheered
- Subscriptions (with tier tracking)
- Gift subscriptions (with tier tracking)
- Raids
- Tips / donations (currency-normalized)
- Channel point redemptions (default and custom redemption names)
- Unique chatters (used in challenges and recap-style insights)
Default Point Values
Every new StreamForge workspace starts with these default point values. You can customize them at any time in Engagement → Point Rules.

Customizing Point Rules
To change point values for any action:
- Go to your Dashboard
- Navigate to Engagement → Point Rules
- Adjust the point value for each action type
- Optionally add custom channel point redemption rules
- Set your tips conversion with points per dollar
- Click Save — changes take effect immediately
Viewer Leaderboard
The leaderboard ranks all tracked viewers by their total points. You can:
- View the leaderboard from your dashboard
- Filter by date range (week, month, all time)
- Share a public leaderboard URL with your community
- Search viewers and expand rows to see metric breakdowns
How Points Are Calculated
Points are calculated in real time from interaction events and configured rules:
- Chat messages — Each message can earn points based on your rule.
- Watch time — Scored per minute with a dedicated watch-time rule.
- Subscriptions and gift subscriptions — Tier-specific rules apply.
- Bits — Scored per bit (or your configured unit value).
- Tips/donations — Converted using points-per-dollar.
- Channel point redemptions — Default or custom redemption rules can assign points.
- Raids — Raid events award points to the matching viewer entry.
